Keith PARKINSON

Parkinson has been working as a professional illustrator for the past sixteen years. After a two-year stint designing art for pinball and video games, Keith spent the next five years at TSR ®, illustrating their products. He then left to pursue a freelance career and spent the next six years doing book covers for most of the major publishers in New York. During this period, Keith won many awards for his artwork, among them two Chesley awards [the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists] for best hardback cover art of the year.

Parkinson works in both oils and acrylics, although he generally prefers the former medium, and he is well-known for his renderings of fearsome dragons, creatures, and starkly realized 'men of valor'. Currently, Keith is working on "The Art of Keith Parkinson", a compilation of his artwork being published by FPG. Also underway is a 'Dragons' art book to be published by Random House that will feature all new artwork and story by Parkinson.

He has a card collection of fantasy images, published in 1994 by FPG, and for the last two years, the artist has been working on his own collectable card game, "Guardians," published by FPG.
